Tree roots and sewer lines don't mix. Roots are constantly seeking out moisture, and your sewer line is basically a magnet for them. Once they get inside, they grow, they branch out, and eventually they restrict flow - or stop it completely. That's exactly what we were dealing with on this job.

We opened up the trench and found what we expected - root intrusion that had worked its way into the existing line. The old pipe had to go. We pulled it out and replaced it with new PVC, properly fitted and seated to restore full flow. Clean connections, solid slope, no shortcuts.

We also installed two new cleanouts as part of this repair. A cleanout is basically an access point built right into your sewer line. If you ever have a blockage down the road, a cleanout means we can get to it fast - without digging up your yard again. It's a small add-on that saves a lot of hassle later.

The tree roots you can see cut back along the trench wall tell the whole story. They had been working toward that pipe for a long time. Once a root finds its way in through even the smallest crack or joint, it doesn't stop. Left alone, that eventually becomes a full backup - or worse, a pipe collapse.

This is the kind of repair that looks straightforward once it's open, but getting it right requires proper excavating, the right materials, and knowing how to set everything up for long-term performance. We do this work every day, and the goal is always the same - fix it right so you don't have to think about it again.
